WAKING NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER – HUDDERFIELD

Aspire in the Community are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newly developed residential service, designed to provide a positive and supportive environment for our new service users and welcome them to their new home in Huddersfield.

Our new service features four single occupancy apartments, specially designed for adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs and behaviours of concern. We are committed to offering our service users the facilities and safe spaces they need to achieve their goals and thrive both at home and in the community.

We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Waking Night Support Workers, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional person-centred care and support throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote dignity and create opportunities for service users to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Implement and follow personalised support plans.
  • Communicate effectively to support individuals in maintaining a meaningful lifestyle.
  • Safeguard service users from harm, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Administer, order, check, and safely store medications.
  • Report and document any changes in a service user’s needs within their care plan.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A good standard of English and Mathematics, along with a degree of self-awareness.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service, including working 2 out of 4 weekends.
  • Some awareness and experience in working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • No previous experience or qualifications are necessary—what matters most is a genuine interest in people, a willingness to learn, and empathy for others.
