DEPUTY MANAGER – HUDDERSFIELD

Aspire in the Community are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newly developed residential service, designed to provide a positive and supportive environment for our new service users and welcome them to their new home in Huddersfield.

Our new service features four single occupancy apartments, specially designed for adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs and behaviours of concern. We are committed to offering our service users the facilities and safe spaces they need to achieve their goals and thrive both at home and in the community.

We’re looking for caring and experienced Deputy Manager to join us at this incredibly exciting time in the opening of our new service.  The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in embedding our core values  and developing and building a high quality staff team committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, support the team and mentor new team members
  • Alongside the manager, you will attend referral meetings to determine if the service is suitable for the referred individual
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed regarding medication
  • Manage the admission and discharge process to and from the service, ensuring a comprehensive handover alongside the manager
  • Ensure monthly audits taking place in line with the governing body and completing relevant documentation to notify them of any changes, possible risks or dangers to the service, staff and service users in a prompt and timely manner.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A good standard of English and Mathematics, along with a degree of self-awareness.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service, including working 2 out of 4 weekends.
  • Some awareness and experience in working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Level 3 qualification and a commitment to undertaking your Level 4
